Meet Steve, the lucky winner

In our last newsletter we asked you to register on www.stakeholderdialogues.net and then we let the luck choose. Congratulations to Steve Bamidele Dada, who is our lucky winner!

Steve will participate in our Dialogic Facilitation Skills (DFS) course in December – for free. Why did he choose the DFS course? Steve wishes to broaden his knowledge and skills on Stakeholder Dialogues that he gained during our courses Working with Stakeholder Dialogues and Practitioners Session . Through these courses he learned how to engage stakeholders and how to design result-oriented processes. The DFS course will provide him with knowledge about the role of a facilitator and tools on dialogue and facilitation (for example CIFCARR ).

Facilitation is an integral part of Steve’s job as an advisor for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Nigeria. His current project named SEDIN aims at promoting growth and employment in Nigeria. He focuses on improving the enabling environment for micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises. Providing support for reforms at state and local level requires him to bring together the interests of diverse stakeholders.

Steve relies on our tools, such as the Dialogic Change Model , to bring relevant stakeholders on board and to engage them for his project. He believes that the DFS course will provide him with valuable tools, to get the best results from collective action. Besides he is interested in becoming an accredited facilitator for Stakeholder Dialogues. The accreditation will be offered in 2014 to practitioners, who participated in our capacity building program and fulfilled the qualifications.

Thanks to everyone who entered the competition!
