Since China is one of the fastest growing markets for German cars, there is a high demand for related services like repairs. In order to provide these services, Chinese mechanics need highly specialized training, which calls for an international cooperation between different actors from the private and public sector. This was addressed by the GIZ and the Chinese Ministry of Education and the use of Stakeholder Dialogues. In spite of some troubles along the way, the result of the cooperation was a jointly-agreed curriculum of vocational training for Chinese car mechanics.
