Summary:
The South African National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC) was created as an institutionalized platform in which government, employees representatives, private sector and community organizations jointly work on challenges they are facing. Topics include economic issues, labor policy and development. For the platform, the Stakeholder Dialogues approach proved to be value adding. Enhancing social dialogues helps citizens and political institutions to start in overcoming biases and the distrust that evolved during apartheid. The objective of this project is to initiate sustainable change for South Africa by engaging stakeholders in finding solutions - together.
