Enhancing nourishment in Tanzania
Around the world approximately two billion people suffer from vitamin A deficiency, which often leads to blindness, growth failure and weakens the immune system. In Tanzania the German Development Agency GIZ and the German chemical company BASF have joined forces in the Strategic Alliance in Fortification of Oil and other Staple Foods (SAFO) to enhance nourishment among the population. Stakeholder Dialogues was essential to bring the different actors onto a successful journey.
